Designed by groomers who were tired of cutting the quick, LumeTrim places four LEDs to illuminate the nail and positions the magnifier directly above the clipping window so your eye, lens, and blade align in a single sight line.

How it works in three steps, under two minutes per paw: Step 1 — press the LED side button and guide your pet's nail through the clipping window so the pink bloodline shows through light and translucent nails. Step 2 — position the blade 2–3 mm in front of the line using the 5× magnifier as your safety margin. Step 3 — squeeze in a smooth, single motion; the blade cuts and the clipping catcher catches the shaving.

Specifications include a hardened steel blade that stays sharp through hundreds of trims and a non-slip grip that remains steady even when your hand trembles. The tool measures 15 cm by 9 cm (5.9 in by 3.5 in) and uses a battery-powered side button to activate the LEDs. Will the LED work on solid black nails? Not well; the light helps most nails reveal the bloodline, and for black nails you clip very small portions, stopping as soon as you see a small dark dot appears in the center of the cut surface. The clipping window and blade size are suitable for cats, rabbits, parrots, hamsters, puppies, and adult dogs up to large breeds, making one tool suitable for the whole home. The LED directs light through the nail and does not shine into your pet’s eyes, and battery life is such that the LEDs only draw power when the button is pressed.
